A NOTE ABOUT WEAVING TECHNIQUE AND FIBERS

All Banaris textiles are woven on Jacquard-style looms, which are perfectly suited to the very precise, interpenetrating design of fine threads, which makes possible the highly detailed and artistically-expressive woven patterns characteristic of every Banaris textile. Several carefully chosen thread colors are often used in a single design, and it is the exact spatial arrangement and interaction of these individual colors which accounts for the rich subtleties and harmony of color which have become a Banaris hallmark.

All Banaris textiles are woven only of the finest 100% pure, natural fibers. The fibers for this year's collection fall into one of three categories:

• Cashmere Wool
• Merino Wool
• Fine-spun Silk

Unless otherwise stated, all textiles are distinctly reversible.
